Sonia V.M. De Helfer, Ph.D., was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has exhibited

her abstract paintings and drawings in Madrid, Buenos Aires, Zweibrucken, New York,

Park City, among others.

Sonia took an art sabbatical in order to successfully pursue her Master and Doctorate

degrees in Philosophy with a minor in Spanish Literature from the University of Utah

in the U.S. She has published various works, including short stories in Argentine

magazines, and a book of bilingual poems.

Even though Sonia continues to write, she has since launched her art career into the

forefront by currently showing her abstract work on the island of St. Maarten, in the

Caribbean.
